Boho Nursery Moodboard

Project Mood Board ⟶

Space : Nursery

Light, bright, neutral with pops of greenery and colorful textiles.

I absolutely love decorating nurseries. I think every designer does a bit of a "happy dance" when a nursery project rolls in. I don't get many nursery requests (the nesting bug takes on many new mamas) but when I do, it's alway a fun and inspiring experience - meshing mama's style with a carefree, comfortable and serene overall theme for the new little one to hit every milestone within.

With this mood board, I wanted to create a space rich with texture taken from natural elements. I love the conversations found in contrasting textures like the deep wood tones in the Babyletto Sprout Crib vs. the smooth and simplistic style of the Haverhill Lacquered Rocking Chair. A pop of color can be found in the art and textiles arranged throughout the space. I love the calm, serene and modern feel of what this nursery space could be. Here's to hoping I pair up with a boho mama looking for some nursery help! :)

Clean vs. Eclectic – What a showdown! I really enjoyed working with this space. This submission was inspired by texture. Rather than loading the space up with color, we chose to utilize the texture & shape provided by the pieces themselves. Choosing to stick with a main color palette of B&W, we were able to add an element of sophistication to the space. With the addition of the bamboo blinds, succulents/plant and jute area rug, we created an oasis-like space combining the crisp streamlined B&W look with texture provided by natural elements. The battle between streamlined and “contemporary eclectic” is always a tough one – how to stay clean & modern – while adding a twist of uniqueness to the space. I think we found a happy medium!
